Terms and conditions

1. SERVICE

1.1 After the customer has accepted these general terms and conditions, Östermalm Health Clinic AB will perform a health assessment as described below, with necessary follow-up.

1.2 The subscription has a commitment period of twelve months. At the end of the contract period, there is no automatic renewal.

1.3 Either party has the right to immediately terminate the agreement in the event of a material breach by the other party. A party being unable to fulfill their obligations under the agreement due to force majeure is not considered a material breach.

1.4 The monthly cost is invoiced monthly by Östermalm Health Clinic AB to the customer, with a 30-day payment deadline. In the event of delayed payment, the standard penalty interest according to the Interest Act will apply.

1.5 Any additional costs for examinations, treatments, surgeries, doctor visits, and extra services not included in the subscription will be charged separately by Östermalm Health Clinic AB according to a separate price list. Östermalm Health Clinic AB and its doctors are not part of the regional healthcare system, so all costs related to medical services, such as sample analyses, X-rays, etc., must be agreed upon in advance if they are to be charged to the customer.

1.6 The agreement comes into effect from the later of the dates on which (i) the customer signs the agreement and (ii) Östermalm Health Clinic AB receives the first payment.

1.7 The purpose of the health assessment and follow-up of the customer’s health profile is to prevent and detect diseases early, as well as to promote the customer’s quality of life.

1.8 Samples collected are forwarded for analysis to Östermalm Health Clinic AB’s accredited partners or processed in Östermalm Health Clinic AB’s own lab.

1.9 Östermalm Health Clinic AB compiles the results from the health assessment and establishes a health profile for the customer. Östermalm Health Clinic AB also develops individualized recommendations for the customer regarding lifestyle, diet, exercise, and other health-related aspects tailored to the health profile. The results from the health assessment, along with Östermalm Health Clinic AB’s recommendations, are presented to the customer in a meeting.

1.10 The subscription includes ten free visits with the customer’s general practitioner. If additional sample tests and examinations are needed beyond the doctor visits, see point 5.1.

1.11 Östermalm Health Clinic AB follows the rules of the Health and Medical Services Act and other applicable legislation.

2. RESCHEDULING AND NO-SHOWS

2.1 The customer is entitled to one free rescheduling of the health assessment. For any additional rescheduling or cancellations, the cost of the chosen examination/treatment will be charged.

2.2 Rescheduling or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled assessment or if the customer does not show up, the customer will be charged. The cost will reflect the costs incurred by Östermalm Health Clinic AB due to the delayed rescheduling, cancellation, or no-show.

3. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

3.1 The customer undertakes to provide complete and accurate information to Östermalm Health Clinic AB regarding the questions asked as part of the health assessment. The customer acknowledges that providing incorrect or incomplete information may result in incorrect health assessment results.

3.2 Östermalm Health Clinic AB is responsible for the personal data provided by the customer and processes the data to fulfill its obligations under these general terms and conditions. Östermalm Health Clinic AB may also, with the customer’s consent, collect information about the customer from central registers. Östermalm Health Clinic AB processes the customer’s personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Act and the Patient Data Act, which means that the customer’s information is kept confidential within healthcare. The customer’s information will not be disclosed to any external parties without the customer’s consent. If the customer wants to know which personal data Östermalm Health Clinic AB processes, believes any data is incorrect, or has other questions regarding Östermalm Health Clinic AB’s processing of personal data, please contact Östermalm Health Clinic AB at info@healthclinic.se.

4. DISCOVERY OF ILLNESS

4.1 If Östermalm Health Clinic AB discovers that the customer suffers from an illness during the health assessment, which requires further investigation and treatment, this will be handled primarily by the customer’s doctor at Östermalm Health Clinic AB. If additional tests and external examinations, such as X-rays and clinical physiology or contact with another specialist within Östermalm Health Clinic AB, are required, this will be charged to the customer. The customer may also be referred to the regional healthcare system if necessary.

5. OTHER

5.1 Östermalm Health Clinic AB primarily conducts an annual health assessment and, in connection with this, preventive counseling. For existing illnesses, the customer’s general practitioner at Östermalm Health Clinic AB is available for consultations. If further sample tests and external examinations, such as X-rays and clinical physiology, or contact with another specialist within Östermalm Health Clinic AB are required beyond the doctor visit, this will primarily be charged to the customer. Additional costs will be borne by the customer. If necessary, the customer may also be referred to the regional healthcare system.

5.2 Östermalm Health Clinic AB cannot guarantee the detection and diagnosis of all diseases and, therefore, cannot be held responsible if the customer has other illnesses not detected during their contacts with Östermalm Health Clinic AB. The customer is aware that the health assessment and all other medical evaluations at Östermalm Health Clinic AB are performed based on scientific and proven experience, which may change over time.

5.3 During the health assessment, there is, as always, a risk of so-called false-positive findings. This means that risks may be detected, which upon further examination turn out to be harmless.

5.4 Östermalm Health Clinic AB cannot guarantee that the customer, by undergoing the health assessment according to these general terms and conditions, will not suffer from any serious illness.
